Mission & Pilgrimage

 Guatemala promo video

Join Kansas City young adults as we travel to Guatemala on our third mission: Guat the 3rd!

Location: San Andres Itzapa, Guatemala

Tuesday, July 23 - Tuesday, July 30, 2019

What: We build one-room houses, stoves, chicken coops & pig pens, play with kids, visit a school, and visit the sick. There are numerous needs and we decide what we want to do! Check out what we did last year!

Spiritual Formation: Father Mattingly will join us and offer daily Mass and Adoration; also, evening reflections, worship, and prayer. We will travel to Santiago Atitlan to visit the very place Blessed Stanley Rother was martyred on his feast day, July 28th!

FUN! The trip itself is a blast and wonderful bonding experience. But, we reserve one day for FUN! We will rent a boat and cruise around Lago Atitlan. Shopping, dancing, food, drinks, swimming and more!

Lodging & Meals: Convent Carmelo de Nazareth. The sisters take wonderful care of us! The convent is locked at night and we are very safe. They feed us great food and have a water purification system at the convent to ensure safe drinking water.

Total Cost of Trip = TBA at first info night. Cost covers: airline, lodging & food at convent, free day activity, cost of project supplies, interpreters, masons. The Trip is Tax Deductible.
